Erm no that's wrong. I renewed yesterday and it was £82.50 (I think) after the good old £2.50 for using the car was added on. It's defintely NOT £97 for 6 months! :confused:

I got the reminder for the GTT. It's up to £140 for the year now :( they need to bring in this free tax malarkey for cars over 25 years old.

What a joke,they put on the reminder that it may increase as reminders printed earlier, mine was £140 for a year at end of Jan so incentive in doing it for a year to miss MOT renewel, my daily 172 was £260 end of March what a joke... :-(

isn't it rite that in from the 1st of November they are changing the lot and you can no longer sell a car with tax. you can pay for a months tax. and pay for your tax monthly by direct debit. also there will no longer be a "tax disc" it will all be done by computer.

You lads are so lucky regarding tax! I pay €75 a month for my dci!

Petrol is about €27 a month for a gtt so not that far off you lads. Tax disc is ****ing oldskool though! We pay tax automatically since ages.....
