Here's a project thread of my raider (http://www.turborenault.co.uk/tags/raider/), originally bought the car in November 2003 after luckily spotting it in the Autotrader bargain buys one Friday. Went to Peterborough and take a look, out for a spin and then £925 later she was mine! This is basically the car when I first bought it apart from a few parts replaced new turbo (http://www.turborenault.co.uk/tags/turbo/), induction kit, clutch, alarm, red fleck drivers seat etc before these pictures were taken. Anyways here's the pictures of it before the respray...

Ok, so the raider (http://www.turborenault.co.uk/tags/raider/) didnt do that much for the rest of 2003, or 2004 really as not permanently insured just MOT'd so insured and taken for the odd cheeky blat here and there. New turbo (http://www.turborenault.co.uk/tags/turbo/) fitted in 2005 at BB Tuning yeah yeah..., followed by new clutch/induction kit BB Tuning yeah yeah... new alarm in 2006, bought a full set of raider seats from the other side of Milton Keynes to replace the red fleck dirvers seat and give me options on best set of seats for the car, the left overs sold on.

IMO looks much better with the original bonnet:agree:, never been a fan of big bonnet scoops. Your car looks nice.
Good old Vemons, the wheel to have back in the day. :agree:
Wont be long before they are making a retro comeback.

Cheers Jon :) then I decided to uprate headgasket/bolts to run more boost so pulled it to bits lol

Then with a little welding, the bay was refreshed/sealed/painted, engine rebuilt with uprated headgasket/bolts, crank polished, new bearings, oil pump rebuilt, liners honed, new waterpump, head skimmed/pressure tested, all exhaust valves replaced with new as stems breaking up, new valve stem seals, manifold gasket, rocker cover gasket etc etc then all put back together in 2009 when it was MOT'd.

Small recent update, I have eventually replaced the outter window seals as the originals were corroded and well past their best also not helping the window regs. This has also enabled me to start getting some interior back in, starting with the door cards, to look less stripped out :)
where did you get the outer seals from?
They're still available from Renault mate.

Bit of an update, I've been collecting the coolant hoses for the car to complete the set, heater hoses and bottom radiator hose. It was then time to get them fitted along with a new heaeder tank and to do a full coolant change with Renault Type D coolant. :)

All fitted, new coolant in, bled up and Renault Preconise sticker as a finishing touch. :)
