remove plastic stopper near top of pedal then ratchet the clutch and replace stopper

if my pedal sits really high does that mean i havent got a stopper on there. just check gear box side there is a few mm play on that side. could it be the cable has stretched and its not engaging the ratchet.

found a semi circle piece of platic in to footwell...is that the stopper?
sounds like ratchet has snapped boss or somethings gone adrift the stopper is a small piece of plastic maybe 20x15 mm
maybe the rod bar that holds it in place has come slighty out worth checking boss first

thanks mate ill try that see how i go if not have to order a new pedal and try that.
there most be a picture somewhere but id remove the seat for easier access, there easy to do, the rod passes between the pedal box throo pedal then back into pedal box with a clip at both ends matey, the cable goes around the outside top part of pedal then around the quadrant, check cable nipples not broke either mate, any probs mate give us a shout:agree:
This should be of some help buddy. :agree:

found my problem i think the cable sheath touched the exhaust because id removed my heatshield as it was catching the accelerator cable. i think it got stuck and i pressed the pedal pulling the end bit through. New cable tuesday it is then.
