Fan coming on even after only a short run

Hi guys.

I have a B18ft 5GTT. I find that after doing a short run in it - around 15mins - the fan comes on. Is this normal? This morning's run has invloved sitting briefly at junctions/lights etc, then little bursts down long roads so assuming that's not too bad. Temp guage just over half way too. Also, fan turns off a couple of mins after engine's off.

The B18FT engine runs alittle warmer than the C1J so if you are using a 5 fan switch the fan will come on more often, is its a low temp one it'll be on a fair bit

Fan runs its own power feed from a perminant live so it will still run once the engine is off and the rad is still warm, will turn off once the water temp drops in the rad
