Is the 3 digits in the bottom of the circle 694, my paintcode? Its black by the way incase the car has been resprayed, anyone know if this is right and can a paint place match up my paint with this code? cheers

If it's had a colour change, they did a bloody good job, as it's got black through the holes of the plate (and presumably behind the plate as well.)

Hey guys aren't those plates supposed to be riveted on?? That one looks stuck on how did ya manage that unless it was removed prior to a respray......Strange!!!:scratch:

I'd get a sample pot first just incase it has been resprayed....That way u can put a little in a small non visible area and check colour match :cool:

Go to a paint factors with your car and ask if you can borrow some color chips, if it doesn't match then you haven't spent 30/40 quid on half a litre of paint, otherwise it would be a case of ringing the previous owner to see if its ever seen a blow over.

You can buy smaller pots than that....Plus sometimes those colour chips dont always do the justice

nother point, how much paint will i need?

A mates spraying it for me, he said i should sort the paint though, hes doing the front bumper for me and a grill?

Depends, if the paints waterbased 1/2 a litre will be plenty, so you've then got some left over for touch ins etc. With blacks I usually colour up with any solvent black colours I've got left over from previous jobs (not mettalic) even aerosol occasionally/ sand back with 1000 wet and dry( dry flatting/ in a straight motion) or an ablon disc then hit with the correct colour base coat followed by laquer.

If that makes sense.
