anyone tell me the opening temp of the thermostat in the top hose.

Depends on what thermostat is in there. As there is many different temperatures them open up on. Around 80 +- 10 degrees

well there isnt one in there at the mo. whats the ideal one to put in

Anyone which is for a standard GT Turbo which can be found at any local factors. Dont worry about low temp ones as renault didn't use them in the first place and the cars worked fine :)
