View Full Version : Rebuilding my carb.....
I am going to attempt to rebuild my carb, and my knowledge is minimal with this kind of thing, but I've seen a few diagrams kicking about so I am wanting to give it a go- but I could do with some help!
I have purchased a rebuild kit from the club shop and want to set up the carb to run 18psi. I was going to order a new main jet, my question is what size should I order and should I order any other jets before I begin.
Any help appreciated:)
You'll need it setting up properly mate if you're gonna run big boost. Get a bigger downpipe and a wideband set up from scoff at efi parts and it'll make it safer and eliminate any doubt on what your air fuel ratio is.

Cheers mate. I've got a bigger down pipe and fitted a AFR, running a T25 with a .47 rear, FMIC, full scorpion, etc. It's just not running right due to carb
The main jet should always remain standard.

Tune using the 2nd stage and other jets first with your afr gauge.

Have a read up of these before rebuild.
Rebuild it as a standard carb then modify as you slowly increase the boost changing jets and watching the afr's as you go.
