Hi all,

Quick one, looking at getting an updated fuel pump as it was recommended to get it changed when doing the conversion. I've seen a Bosch 044 going reasonably cheap. Does anyone have any expierence with these? They seem reasonably good

Cheers

You will just need adaptors for in and out so it fits your fuel lines, also it's rather large compared to the oe gtt it will fit but you can't use the oe gtt bracket, COuple of nice big cables tie's will do the trick though to secure:agree:

It works well and they are reliable too thats what most people run for bigger power. Glenn hi5 used 2 and i think scoff runs 2 also. I run just the one at the mo ;)

044 pumps are great though there are cheaper Bosch pumps out there with similar specs. Think one I'm using for a Mercedes and about half the price. Can't remember the number though but not difficult to find other pumps

Thanks all, I've found one at a reasonable price anyways. Can anyone remember off the top of their head the size of the fittings that I need? Also does it still fit next to the standard fuel filter

Search on eBay,

Normally find them a lot cheaper than can purchase anywhere, as normally companies getting rid of old stock.

The company I work for cant even get them in at that price.

Where abouts have you located your fuel filter?

He he i have 2 if you look really closely you will see both in shot ;)

One before the pump one after. You can see the one after easier its the black alloy bit after the pump ;) they are only small but both use a brass cone shape guass which you can clean or replace. I take them out every year and drain the tank down and wash filters out :)
