Yeah more than likely spammers, luckily they usually only get as far as the general board at worst.. but then we have to manually delete them.. pain in the 'arrris

They post random crap in another language with a link usually gets removed from the boards pretty fast.

Can they not be removed? Just got me thinking what are they doing? How safe are all out details?

I was told they have teams of people in China manually registering for forums all over the world so they can then spam them.

At RTOC they only become registered users and only spam the boards open to registered users, unless they pay a membership fee, which they don't.

Phew, when I read the title I thought it was an Rtoc users dogging invite

On renault5gtturbo.com it's full of spammers. Ruined the site

It's one main advantage of having a payment for use. It stops them there at registered user.

how safe is our detail?
Why should you presume your details are not safe? They are registered users, that's it! Anyone with a working email address from anywhere in the world, that's not in a region I blocked, can register and spam.

You would never know about the skilled hackers filching your details. Are you sure there's no keylogger malware in your computer recording every key press you make and sending it somewhere? Or to Prism in the USA? :)

Can we get in touch with these guys in China and say there's a fresh new Renault site that's free to sign up to?

You can.

They also have some anti spam stuff on there Trev. As an IT guru Trev you should know that somethings are verified.

Only ever after the good of the community fella.

Sometime in life you just cant work things out. Hence possibly the best thing for all parties is what has happend. :agree:

I have no animosity towards anyone. Its all for the greater good.
