Hi,

due to lack of time decided to sell the emblem I 3d printed couple of months ago. Its white abs plastic and ideally would require painting. Length ~200mm, Height ~28mm, thickness ~4mm so it fits nicely in your tailgate panel.

Best sensible offer wins. Paypal and recorded delivery. This is one-off piece so you wont be able to find it anywhere else.

unless we but it for the club shop and get a mould taken of it:D

although on closer inspection , that wont be possible:(

how much does it cost roughly to produce an item like this?

the reason i ask is i would like a gtturbo2 badge fabricated for in the same style as o.e profile:cool:

I can do that easily and produce them for the club if the committee decide to buy this.

Great idea.

Harri, are you ok with this being bought by the club and Jon having a go at replicating it?

I dont mind if share of the profits go to club or club sells them. I would personally just print more but it can be used for making casting mould or whatever. Printing takes almost no effort so it's more or less only print-abs material costs.

HAndy: If you have CAD model, printing it in plastic is not a big deal. Making the model of this took me like 1h. For my CFturbo emblem bit more since I wanted to do it spot on and printed it two times because of this.

Harri, will you PM Ian S about the club buying this?

Jon, I guess you need to talk to Ian and Bigfoot about getting it sent to you, replicating it, agreeing a price/proceeds and getting them in the shop?

:agree:

If everything goes ahead i will only want to be supplying these to the club shop and i will only charge the club for the cost of the mould/raw materials and a small amount for my time needed to get these produced.
The GT turbo resin badges came out at only £15 posted so im sure we can come to a good agreement on something that is half the size.

I await contact from the committee if they want this to happen :)

Great stuff ive heard lots about 3printing. ..can you recreate a front grill using this method? Also other parta that will no doubt become obsolete in the future.

You could but size is the limitation here. most printers, like the one im using, dont print that big so u would have to make that from several parts. Also from most printers the quality of plastic is not the same as injection moulded, so the parts are bit fragile. The printer im using has max dimensions of 195x195x295mm
