Hi guys.

Anyone know what model Volvo this engine came from with just a glance at this picture?

Next question: does anyone know how old the engine could be? Contacted the owner but they've not got back to me yet so thought I'd ask you chaps.

Looked online etc for the B15ft but all I can find is the years it ranges from.

Guessing I'll just have to find out from the owner, but thought I'd give it a punt here first.

Cheers.

Ask him to look at the plate under the oil breather it should read b18ft 007 and a few other numbers

Those engines were around from 1988(ish) to 1994 i think, around that period

Whereabouts is the oil breather mate? Checked on wiki and Google images, but can't find it. Also been rooting around the engine for half hour looking for the serial number on the head but no luck.

Can anyone give me a closer clue?

Cheers.

Paul, you've gone from zero knowledge of this stuff to guru :) At least something good has come out of all your trials and tribs. :agree:
