Nope, not the tongue-flicking fun you get from your mrs, but the turbo thingymajig.
First off, what exactly is the 'blower'? I'm assuming it's a fan in the turbo?
Secondly, is it a *******/costly to fix/replace?
Ta, muchly.
Blower could mean fans for air into the car. Or the turbo, if going cheap try and source a known good one, else will be looking at £300+ for a standard version rebuilt I think

Ha brilliant :agree:
The blower is just slang for turbo, since the turbo blows (forces) air into the engine.
I'd agree with dale, blowers are generally the heaters.

I think we're all amiss, lol. Search on google for 'blower on a car' and of course, it's superchargers.
In any case, there's no doubt that Magsimus in this thread is not on about the fan on the heater. He's on about how much it is to replace or refurbish the turbo.

Yeah, I had a look about on the Googliser as was sure it was part of the turbo, but I had heard folks mention them being the heaters. 'Blowers' seemed more fitting for a turbo rather than heating fans as they seem a bit, well, boring to deserve a nickname.
I'm also looking at a 5 GTT with a Volvo Turbo engine as debating to go for something more reliable for my trip. However, it says the bodywork needs a little attention (cosmetic/paint job mainly) and the blower's not working. Ugh. And yes, I see the contradiction I've made, but y'all get what I mean :D
