you probably only know my 9 and maybe my daily Clio but the Renault adicition started with a Renault 5 Gtt ph.1. i bought it for €250 and needed alot of work.

after 2 years of restoring it looked like this:

sadly i've only driven it for one summer as i pulled it apart to make some engine upgrades, in the meanwhile it got dustier and dustier and i then decided to build the 9 you all know so no more time or effort where put into the 5.

during my deployment in Afghanistan i had alot of time to think and being inspired by Scoffs old rwd 5 i decided to do the same to mine.

after alot of cutting, measuring and welding we've come up with this:

this was made for a f7-02m combo, sadly people change there mind and wanting to build something sick high powered in the future i decided to fit a k20/k24 engine in there, the sad part is we had to redo the whole subframe but it now looks like this:

i don't post to much about my projects anymore as since i've started a bachelor of engineering study i don't have much spare time anymore, however i justed wanted to show you this to let you know the Dutch front is still busy doing crazy things :D

Cheers,

Arthur

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes i've called them and they said it wouldn't be a problem, fortunately since the partly implementation of european regulations getting modifications registered is much easier and cheaper for pre 1997 cars.

Getting 2.0 and 147bhp on paper for the 9 has cost me €54 and around 15mins :laugh:
Guy at the rdw station was pretty intriqued by the car which i understand, all they see all day are imported cars, campers etc.

@mojo

Yes it's a type r lump, figured this way i could still drive the f7r turbo'ed 9 the coming years and sadly but true honda's engineering is miles better!

Excellent engine choice! :agree: These are slowly becoming a common engine swap in a 5. ;)

Well it was a hard decision as i already have a fully built f7r but being a long term project anyway i just decided to build it more future proof with the goal i have in mind. Maybe it's a bit crazy but you only live once right :D
