The Window Regulators are one of items on my car that I've had issues with in the past. I'm running the manual ones now, but have had issues with them too. Mainly getting too stiff and because of age they can get brittle and the nylon tubes can crack.
I've stripped a Clio2 172 for a few parts recently and although I didn't need them, I kept the Electric Window Regulators. They seem like a much more simple affair and use a continual circuit of wire that effectively pulls from both sides (pulls up and pull down) as opposed to the GTT which has a push/pull cable.
I think it could be made to work, you just need to get the interface with the window pane grip right.
