Can I use a phase1 tdc on a phase2?

Yes you can but they are alittle shorter so may find it abit short to reach the AEI unit in the phase 2 position

If i remember correctly the only difference between the 2 was the length of the leads as the phase one aei sat engine side of the bulk head so the cable was a little longer as it went straight in the aei. The phase 2 aei sits behind the bulkhead so the cable plugged in to a short extension which sits on the bulk head making the tdc sensor lead shorter. So it should work but the cable will be longer thats all. As long as you have the little extension lead from the aei already in place which plugs in just above the turbo :)

It's the little extension that i need as the connection is crap.
I was thinking that the phase1 tdc might reach the aei, as the top half of the tdc is about £60

ive had a phase 1 tdc on a phase 2 car and the plugs did not click together as they should from my experiance so could come apart i went back to phase 2
