Morning All,

Having a problem with my evo 6 that is driving me mad and I am desperate for some assistance as I can't seem to sort myself or find and answer or much help on the MLR forum.

I have a small clonk/knock from the front end for the past few month's not been that bad until recently and car now feels dangerous to drive in that when you turn the steering wheel either way it feels like you are going over small bump's (when I am not).

I originally replaced the following over the last 2 months:

Fitted brand new coilovers with solid top mount's,
New drop links
New track rod end's,
Passenger side driveshaft (due to a split gaitor),
RS rear diff setup (non related problem due to AYC pump failure),

I even removed the front transfer box as heard about the 4 bolt lsd's shearing on the MLR forum but that's not a problem for me as mine is an open diff type therefore no 4 bolt's and no movement that shouldn't be everything is within tolerance so that is now back together and I just need to fit it again.

Only thing's left to do are ARB bushes, Lower balljoint's and wishbone rubber's,

I have just got some new poly bush ARB bushes so will fit those when I get a chance:agree:

Any thought's

(not a cheap car to work a problem out on  everything is expensive)

If the shaft is out, why not separate the CV joint from the end to see if there's any damage in there? If it is the drivers side CV, then it sounds like the bearings are knackered and you'd hope that would be visible.

Probably a shaft. Get a bar in between the balljoints and check for play though. Check wheelbearings for play.

Lack of tool for the clip to be put back on :crap:

Is it just normal circlip pliers that are required? Not too expensive AFAIK.

I reckon ARB bushes especially as the handling is feeling strange.

ARB or lower arm bushes, unless you have a propper janky wheel bearing....

Ok sorry to bring this back up I am now really confused, I have now got rid of the right hand noise which turned out to be lower balljoint n/s/f. I am now suffering with another knock but this one is a slow rational clunk that only does it at slow speeds on left turns only,

I have replaced on the front end,
Wishbones and bushes both sides,
hub bearing both sides,
Drop links both sides,
track rod ends both sides,
Both drive shafts have been replaced,
coilovers were new 1000 miles ago if that mileage to be honest,
front Transfer case has been checked and fine,

I have also fitted the following to the rear aswell
New rear upper arm's
new upper arm ball joints,
new droplinks,
coilovers as above,
Rear evo 9 rs diff conversion with shorter prop shaft,
I will add 4 wheel alignment has been done,

small video attached and I apologies for the video skills it's just on the mobile whilst driving. you can here the knocking any thoughts???

now I have arb bushes still to do but I haven't done these yet as it's a real pig of a job to do,
