In my experience, most aftermarket flex brake lines use a different method of attachment than the OE flex brake lines. The OE lines have 'splines' that engage into the chassis bracket. I had to drill out the bracket splines to allow my Goodridge lines to pass through and they were secured with a locknut.

Is this the problem you are having?

By the way there are 4 flex hoses. 2 at the front (chassis bracket to caliper) and 2 at the back (chassis bracket to centre rear beam bracket).

As you can see the standard fitting has a flat part to meet the flat part of the inside of the pipe. This one I have been wrongly sold is a cone shape inside the pipe so is totally wrong. The guy asked me phase 1 or 2 and I said 2 so hopefully I will get a refund soon.If not can they be adapted?

I was under the impression these should fit straight on so I bought a set last month, any differences between phase 1 and phase 2? :coffee:

Not sure but these are the wrong pipes as if you look on the top right pipe their is a clean area where the flat area has been acting as a seal. These ones will just piss out fluid even though the threads fit they dont screw down far enough and the cone shape is the wrong fitting plus hole is too small

They look a bit different from what I found on my car? Can you take a picture of the rest of the pipe/hose?

I would say there is no difference between Ph1 and Ph2.

From your pics these look as if they wont locate over the sticking out bit as the hole is tiny! :sad2: Are you returning yours fella? Not fitted mine yet but defo on the jobs to do list

If the seller cannot supply you with the correct type for your vehicle then i wouldn't take anything less than a full refund. The items you were sold are not fit for purpose.

This is another picture of them. The old hoses in the picture are goodridge so might just buy them again as I know they will fit the fitting in the bracket then it can all be secured by the locknut. The guy I bought them off was helpfull but I just cant picture these working he mentioned a large spring securing the whole thing?

These are what you need!

Think you need 6? 2 front and 4 rear!?

Not a great pic but you can just make out them fitted to my project, which are the similar to your hoses!!

So... will these spring clips allow these hoses to be fitted? centre hole seems rather small compared to rubber hose...

I've no idea what brake unions/hoses you have fitted but from looking at your picture they don't look OE at all

I also have a set of these braided pipes from the same seller and i'm running the front and the rears on my Clio 16v which uses exactly the same brake pipes as a 5 GTT (in terms of fitment)

I think someone must have changed yours to non OE which is why the braided pipes which have been made to OE spec don't fit

With regards to the size of the hole, i've ran mine for thousands of miles and they're spot on, brakes are nice and sharp, i've even done a trackday with no issues :)

I suggest you chop the union off your copper pipe which comes from the master cylinder and re-flare it with the correct union to fit these pipes :smokin:
