can someone please look at the pic below and tell me if the strut tops look wrong???

i bought the coilovers a while back and the they came complete with struttops etc so i presumed they were right but looking at the pic the passenger side doesnt look right even though ones black and the others nickel plated??

tiz abit of a crap camera angle.

if your worried, id jack up the passenger side and check to see if the strut top is still bolted to the turret.! check to see if the 2x square spot welded bolt thread havent come loose/dislodged.

Cannot see very well but it seams Ok. Check that both shock pins are at the same place. Lot of people make mistake and think that strut tops are all the same and put both left or both right and then one of the shocks is little bit moved to the front.

I think the passenger side might be wrong, as Raj pointed out the angle is a bit crap. The pin should be more towards the windscreen than the grill.

Can anyone remember if the strut top bolts are M8 or M6, IIRC they are m8 but wanted to check ...

Q2 - What about Devil strut brace - 70mm long but M6 or M8 ?

M8 cap head for the devil brace, no idea of length though! ill have a measure tomorrow :agree:

I can remember they are 70mm mate, your a legend, cheers. Titanium bolts are fookin expensive! Ill think ill buy alloy for the brace and only use titanium for the saftey critical areas like seat mounts etc...:eek:

i need to check if my struts are correct the car just doesnt feel right ive replaced bearing bushes and one of the mounts.
the first pic is driver side and the second passenger.

any help on getting this sorted much appreciated ta

2nd that,i had the same prob when i bought some 2nd hand struts complete with tops etc didnt even give it a 2nd thought the strut top would be wrong so just fitted them:sad2:all sorted now though:)

really, how can i be 100% sure? as the play seems to be the right hand side i think?? cheers
