Excess protection. A god send or will they never cough up ? Been ringing round for quotes and this has popped up a few times. Any ideas ? Thanks

They quoted me £49.75 for the excess protection on top of the original quote. In the event of an accident etc I would have to fork out for the excess but I can claim it back ? Seems to good to be true ?

Depends on how likely you are to have accidents where its your fault, as that's the only time you have to pay excess out

I'm pretty good at ploughing into peoples rear bumper as it happens :brickwall:

Lol. Then I guess it makes sense to take the option in your policy. If the cost is always £49.99 for the year, try whacking up the voluntary excess to get the overall policy premium down by more than £50 and you've got the protection for free. :D Lol.

If that's possible then I'll eat my hat but stranger things have happened!
