If you have the means to bin the distributor off do it, can think of any reason why you would want a dizzy over a proper ignition system. Cop or a single coil pack is 100% the way to go, less to go wrong, more reliable, no rotor arm and cap to wear out or get damp, fatter spark, bigger plug gaps.........................
