During this horrible weather iv been doing my run in on a fresh lump, ive noticed if the heaters/windscreen wipersX2/full beam lights/stereo and occasional coolant fan coming on my battery light trwrts to get brighter and brighter.

I had a squeaky belt because of the moisture so tightened it up another 2-3mm with a brace, ive lost the squeak but gained this battery charge problem.
Btw ive got a campus pulley and belt.

Would I benefit from an uprated alternator or do I just have to juggle and prioritise my electrical items?

break out the voltmeter and see what the alternator is putting out when you have all the electrical load on. - should still be 13.5-14.8 volts...... if its not it could be a dodgy regulator on the alternator.

Cheers Mark, should have txt to be honest but with similar weather conditions I was curious to see if it was just me!
