Alright guys just wondering what ur thoughts are on number plates are, I've got a raider, the original number plates are looking a bit tatty.. Was maybe going to get them to be remade with the garage stamp and colours on.. Or maybe go for some of the black and white plates (not sure on the legality of them tho) or maybe something else? Any ideas or photos on what u guys use would be appreciated :)

Thanks

Get a legal plate, not a show plate. Otherwise you're begging to have a copper tell you off :cooter:

Black/silver plates can legally only be used on cars manufactured 1974 or earlier

Pressed plates are big with the VW fans. Do like the old school black/silver, but be prepared for a good telling off from every copper on the road as my friend found out last year. Hard to pull the show plate blag at 8:15am Tuesday holding traffic up at a busy junction.

I got copies made of the originals. They're show plates (not legal) but I've driven on them for 2 years with no problems

Make copies of the OE dealer plates, old school fonts and logo keep it looking original, my 11 turbo still has dealer plates fresh from 1986 somehow lol

I've had some dealer plates made up recently by dmb graphics. They was spot on. If you have some original plates (as above) they should be able to copy them. If not, they will make them up how you want. :agree:
