I should have my 5 on the road soon.

Its been stood for years, I have got it running now but think it needs a good set up/check over etc.

Is there anyone round my area who is good with them? I've not had a 5 before so don't know that much about them yet :)

Place in Chesterfield pal that sets carbs up, spoke to him a couple of weeks ago about setting my carb up on the white one and he said no problem bring it down. I will just have a look for his details now.

Get the AEM on and do it yourself. It's pretty easy once u can see the AFR's mate

If stuck, get back on here and someone will help. :)

Cool I'll give it a try myself :)

I think my carb needs sorting as at low revs it just wants to cut out until the revs build up.

i`m in sheffield but unfortunately i`m still learning so i`d be no use to you. I`ve just bought a new Turbo and down pipe with the afr bung in it ready and i`m gonna buy an AEM wideband at the end of the month so it`s all running sweet. I`m gonna have a go at stripping all my carb down next week so fingers crossed I don`t feck it up :crap:

well I`m useless when it comes to mechanics i`ve no patience. But sod it i work away all week so i`m gonna take it off sunday night bring it to work strip it all give it a real good clean then put it back together. Theres step by step instructions on here with pictures so it will hopefully resemble a carb when it`s finished, and hopefully I wont have too many spare bits at the end  and most importantly it`ll work!!!!

Not done mine yet, but not meant to be bad to do. Buy a rebuild kit from here. When I do mine I am going to take plenty of photos whilst taking it apart ;)

I would highly recommend Chatsworth motor spares, years ago I had a set of 40's done there for my mk2 escort and they set em up spot on.
If you get stuck Paul rebuilding the carb give me shout they aren't as complicated as they look pal.
