Hi guys.

New to this forum and gt turbos.

I'm now the owner of an f plate phase 2, of which I had no intention of actually buying. I sold my m3 a few months back but got bored of not having a toy, so I decided to look for a car that I've always wanted, a 205 gti 1.9.

I spent 2 weeks hovering on eBay, but the only ones I could find were all tracked up/to far away/no tax or test etc. I got bored one night so I but in a best offer on a astra gte in white, but the bid was declined which I wasn't to fussed about as I wouldn't have been completely happy with the 8valve variant. I then continued to look for 205's but to no avail, that's when I started to look for a 5 turbo. After a few days of watching and a 8 second bid at the end I won this one. :)

Needs a bit if a tidy, and I will turn the boost down at some point lol. Am I right in thinking 18 psi on a t25 is around 155bhp with un updated inter cooler and carb?

hi and welcome to rtoc matey

18psi on a t25 should be quite a bit more than 155bhp, if still on the standard t2 the max boost you want is 16psi anymore is just a waste.

I will try and get a picture up on the weekend. :)

I haven't really driven it enough to get a good feeling of the power, but it deffo feels like 160 bhp or so, I just didn't want to get ahead of myself as there are always big numbers threw about in the turbo world lol. Tbh it ain't a great deal slower than my m3 was.

It also has a rtoc key ring. The car itself has only been on the road for 6 months since a 10 year hiatus. The guy I purchased it off wasn't that clued up tbh.

Seems to have your normal gt tuning gubbins,(inter cooler, carb elbow) also has the gt tuning interior parts if anyone wants to swap for standard parts lol
