Mike cant get hold of the headlight protectors and ive exhausted all the ways Im intellectually able to come up with...!
Plan is If I can get the part number and try renault stockists in Uk and France to aquire one, ive also messaged a chinese company from ebay about replicating a few which sounds promising (its a piece of melted plastic at the end of the day) for the club and members :)
Anyone possess this information?

Ill see if I can get some made that have the quality of the OE ones and have 10- 20 sets made up.
I need assurance from the fabricator he'll send the OE ones back, and a way of customs not destroying them as they will be counterfeit with the renault logo and stripe.
We may have to get an adhesive film made in the uk to pop on if they're sent clear. But thats no biggie.:agree:

Sent some emails to 2 UK pastic fabricators who make bespoke orders, ill cross reference them against the Chinese makers. I think having sets made plain will be achievable from both options so the transfers will be the step.
Options will be cool blue, yellow or clear........ with or without renault motifs and stripe, and what colour of the motif and stripe (red, silver, raider blu etc)
Thinking is if I can borrow some oe ones and physically take them to the uk makers, get them to make a clear bog stangard model and send it off to Chinatown to see if they can do them cheaper in bulk as the usually can.
My mate runs his own vinyl and commercial transfer printers, I go down for brews and messing around regularly so im sure he can have a enthusiastic go at doing something (he made my custom decals)

Be interested in set to, yellow and clears. Good work
If you can get a relatively competitive price from the UK guys it would be great to keep manufacturing here. The parts will likely be of a better quality, you'll have no customs or postage concerns, plus you'll have somewhere to take them back to in the event of a problem, or if you want modifications etc.

I had carbon fiber high speed diffusers made for my E36 BMW made in china as there was a 500 odd pound difference. After cracking them a couple of times I bought the genuine AC Schnitzer ones and I never damaged them ever again they were so robust.
The company who have shown the interest in the uk specialise in automotive plastics and are only in Derby round the corner and have a excellent reputation at the kind of task were asking.
Out of interest how much did boutique lenses go for back in the day and more importantly how much do they command today? I hope the club would ant to buy some of these as they may have a chance to make a quick buck.
If anyone out there would like to sponsor a set of originals to save me buying a set that would be awesome. Obviously they would get them back and maybe a deal on another set?
