Just put a k&N cartridge filter in the original housing and block the hot air feed :)

I've just bought a used gt tuning ram raid filter kit with the alloy trumpet. It uses the k&n element but will put a new one in.

No idea where to best place it to keep it away from the heat though.

From what I've read they're quite highly rated and sound give a nice flutter when backing off the throttle.

But I do see the advantages of the standard airbox without the hot air feed.

sorry should have added more details.

when i got the car it had a cheap air filter literally on the turbo.
so i moved it by adding a 90 degree alloy pipe so it sits in behind the pass light.

i was going to box in that section and put my new ram-air filter in the boxed out section, and also put a cold air feed into it as there's not much free venting behind the light.

was just wondering if anyone has done anything similar or better or any other ideas.

a good friend has his piped straight into the scuttle where my battery is.
any other ideas would be great.

just weighing up ides. ( from people that have tried more):)
