Dieppe’s Finest, at Goodwood Circuit
Brought to you jointly by v6Clio.net and Renault Alpine Owners Club, ‘Origine RS’ are delighted to be working with Goodwood Motor Circuit to host an Alpine & Renault Sport Track Day based car show. – All Dieppe built or developed sports cars from the 1950’s to the modern day are welcome.
Goodwood circuit is the only classic circuit in the world to remain entirely in its original form, having been beautifully restored in 1998. This picturesque venue is steeped in heritage and has witnessed some of motor racing’s greatest heroes in action, including Sir Jackie Stewart and Sir Stirling Moss.
The ethos behind ‘Origine RS’ is to showcase the very best of Renaults Motorsport heritage and the road cars that have followed on from their success, in a way not currently done. We want this new concept to focus as much on creating a great atmosphere for those who attend, as the show of quality cars that you’ll find in the show arena. Be it an original R8 Gordini, an Alpine 310 to a Clio 182 Trophy and beyond, this is the event for you.

Thanks, I will get over to RAOC and have a looksy. It was one show that I was looking at though it is a fair way.
This sounds/looks awesome :cool: Are we allowed to attend in grossly over modified badly in need of a paintjob and just a wash in general GTT's :laugh:

What a fantastic event. Is the club looking to get a stand? Or is it likely to be an expensive deal?

1- Did you hear the car coming from 5 miles away? Yes, your not coming in
2- Can you drive over speed humps? No, your not coming in
3- After being stopped for 1 min do you leave a puddle of oil or a pile of rust? yes Your not coming in
4- Do you have to wear sunglasses to look at the car? Yes your not coming in
5- Is the driver wearing a baseball cap and are his trousers round by his knees? Yes your not coming in
6- Is the rear spoiler bigger than your dining room table Yes your not coming in
Can we add any more to the list? :p:D

All but the spoiler and baseball cap one are me and my gtt:laugh:
Will know more details later next week I think but cars must be Dieppe creations for 'show ' area/stands etc .
I'm having a trade stand there + a couple of display/demostrators ....Can't see any issue with the RTOC having a club stand as long as the cars on it meet the criteria .
Maybe if there's no RTOC stand, perhaps one or two members who've got OE-ish cars might join you Clee? Or will you have limited room?
Got to be Deippe built so no go for gtt as far as I'm aware but yes I dont mind that

I'd still support this if there will be RTOC presence.

Maybe Bill. That would fit with the info. Dieppe is mentioned there, just no specifics.
Either way it looks like the GTT qualifies. I assume.
Not as far as I know ....I'm pretty sure the gtt is not on the list but if you have a r5 turbo then you're in :coffee:;)

I'm sure Moggy said it once. The gtt production started in Dieppe before being moved elsewhere.
There is no contact information on the event website.
In the sixth gallery pic there is a couple of mark1 R5s in the background. And they do state, "The ethos behind ‘Origine RS’ is to showcase the very best of Renaults Motorsport heritage and the road cars that have followed on from their success."
The GTT has a fine rallying pedigree and some were built in Dieppe. I can't see why they would say no.

They are Dieppe built .
5 gt turbo is fine in standard original condition or tastefully/quality modified .Ideally mint or concours .Cup cars also accepted .We are looking for nice cars .No Ali G stuff which would go in public parking .

sooo, the Twingo Coupe 2L would have been built in Dieppe I have a 2L Twingo and a Coupe badge for my 5 :laugh:

My phase 1 was a dieppe built car apparantly.

Ok, C405 , C means 3 door, 40 means "supercinq" 5 means 1.4 turbo engine
600 means UK right hand drive spec
031 means ,options fitted to UK spec car, rear wiper , etc..
K011827 , K = France,Dieppe build. 011827 could mean the 11,827 5Gtt but more likely the 11,827 Renault 5 "Supercinq" as they didn't just build the 5Gtt there but other models too...
I don't know if that's restricted to the phase 1 though but there must be more out there.
Any room for a Megane 225 that was built in Dieppe????

On a slightly more "normal" note and a little off topic, where were the very limited run of 1000000000 raiders built? I always thought it was stains. Maybe that's down to the Ali of the G himself :smokin:
