Don't know if this is any use or not but if it helps one person it's worth it, i've taken it from the lancer forum.

If it's of any use, there is a free to register website where you can add your stolen car (regardless of make or model) and there is a chance of someone who's looking to buy an Evo and been offered your stolen car to get in touch with you to let you know that they've seen it. not many renault 5's get stolen these days.
the reasoning is, that they are too unreliable when trying to drive away from the police - and thats from both policemen and ex twoc'ers i know.

if they are gonna get stolen it'll be for parts.
