Well what an amazing surprise! For those of you that didn't know I turned 40 this year. I thought it would pass with a quiet evening down the pub with a few drinks and then a curry.

How wrong could I be! My partner Barbara unbeknown to me had arranged a surprise 40th birthday party on the Saturday evening. She had tracked down people I hadn't seen since childhood. I finally made it home for 9:00a.m. Sunday morning with one hell of a hangover only to find out that I was booked on a flight to Vietnam for three weeks were she had also arranged for my friend (from Australia) who I haven’t seen in 6 years to meet us there.

I would never have thought of Vietnam as a holiday destination but can’t wait to go back! Lovely beaches, amazing food, such friendly people and a lot of history.

So I will be able to help with any of your parts requirements but I have a back log of emails etc to work through. As Barbara made sure it was a work free holiday and one to remember. I can’t thank her enough for everything she has done to make my 40th one to remember!

Many thanks for your support

Mike

Happy 40th Mike (belated) :)

I have been on holiday to Vietnam twice for three weeks in the last 18 months. Easily the best country I have ever been too. Def echo your views! And they let me ride a motorbike for 250 miles with no previous experience. That was....interesting!! :agree:

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Congrats fella and what a surprise. My fingers are crossed for a similar effort from my misses as I too turn the big 40 this year.... Although, I'll probably end up with the film Good morning Vietnam and a fosters from Australia :wasntme::wasntme::wasntme::wasntme:

Congrats Mike, a well deserved break!

As you will have probably found out, to Aussies, Vietnam is very popular as it's a bit closer to Oz, but predominantly because of the reasons you've stated. Very very friendly and hospitable. I never been myself, but it's on the list!

Now back to work. :cooter:
