what is this and can i bin it.

As the title says, it's on my anti roll bar. I can't really see what it does. I've put it back on before but now I'm wondering if I really need it.

My belief is that it aids strength to the weakest part of anti-roll bar, without it your run risk off centre section twisting and snapping.
