...For each year of its life!:D:wasntme:

Ok, this 5 has had a fair few owners in its time (24) but the last 3 or 4 have definitely been members on here, the RTOC. Hopefully they will see this post and comment on its excellent condition despite it needing to walk around with a mattress on its back!

I will be honest and state that there is a lot that I do know about this 5 but it really is in very good condition. It is not a mint car ready for shows but it is a very honest example. I was looking for a 5 that I did not need to spend hours and hours working on, I just wanted to drive one and enjoy the boost! This 5 was perfect for me.

It was been fully resprayed a few years ago in it standard silver colour and if you look at the poll on here that was balloted, you will notice that this colour apprears to be the rarest. :agree: It has a full standard phase one body kit which has a high gloss finish. I personally think that this complements the car massively.

According to a member on here that has it previously to the next two members the engine was rebuilt around 3k miles ago to quite a performance spec. This included:-
New pistons
Liners
Oil pump
Reground ends and mains , crank etc
Piper 270 cam
New water pump
carb from cgb, recon,130 main 0.9 ac was swapped with another jet in the carb not sure which
T25 Turbo
Updated fuel pump
Uprated alternator,.
Side exit from K-Tec
Enlarged Turbo outlet
2.5" Downpipe
Uprated green clutch fitted.
Soft Pedal Conversion
The alarm is a toad ai606

I have recently installed a new interior, standard seats in Mk1 Clio trim and raider rear seats which does have a tear in it. I have also installed some pioneer front speakers along with a parcel shelf which has some 9x6 cut into them.

I bought this car in August 2013 and I have covered about 300 miles during this time. This 5 is running at 17psi and it really has not missed a beat for me. (I know I have not driven it much) I assume that with a T25, 17psi and a 270 cam, it is probably running around 170bhp... It starts first time every time and I have always warmed it up and cooled it down properly. There is no smoke from the turbo and it really does run well. There is no hesitation at all. The idol is probably a little high at 1k but for me thats normal!

I changed the oil and filter only 150 or so miles ago with all the receipts to prove the purchases.

I have not really go a lot of paper work for this car, just a few only MOT's and V5 etc but anyone who comes to view this car will see that it has been very well looked after during its time by its many notches it its bedpost. There may be a few little dings in the body work but nothing that really stands out.

It is MOT'ed until April 2014 and Taxed until Feb 2014 (Or there abouts) I am looking for £2000 no offers. I am not desperate to sell or anything like that, the wife want to extend our house into and on top of the garage which means that the 5 will lose its home. Leaving it outside facing the elements is just cruel so it really could do with a new home. I am located in Ashford, Kent and Viewings can be arranged at any time. I am not advertising elsewhere as I believe/would like this car to remain in this club.

If you have any questions then please ask.

The link that Penfold has attached shows you how the car looks externally and the engine bay. If you would like any more picture then please let me know and I will email them too you.

For some reason the website will not allow me to upload any. Its a server error this time! The pictures are not too big or anything like that so I am stumped.

How has this not sold? I've seen this at Scott's last year and it looked really straight. Only thing I'd change is the bumpers back to standard. Minimal work really. Considering the hike in prices lately this really is an absolute steal.

If its about in a few weeks time, I may have it off u for a little cunning plan be had going on in the bk of my mind ;)

It really is a good honest car and in my opinion it is in very, very good condition.

It is an excellent runner and starts on the button. If anyone just wants to get out there and enjoy driving a 5, this one will definitely not see you wrong. :agree:

Right People.

I am going to give this another few days or so of being advertised just for RTOC members.

After this I am going to open it up to none members and possibly even put it on the facebook site.

The Wife desperately wants to get our garage conversion underway but I am not going to start it until the 5 has gone.
