View Full Version : White 1991 phs 2 for sale
Hello, this really brings a tear to my eye, but due to job loss I fear I`m going to have to sell my beloved 5. The car in question is a white phase 2 which has undergone a complete nut and bolt rebuild for the past 4 years.
The car is now 90% complete with everything either new or reconditioned, I have various parts still in packaging which will go with the sale as well as a detailed rebuild spec. If you look on my profile (vale46) or go onto projects/restoration you will find her.
This really is a desperate situation and I am open to offers, the car so far has had around 6-7k spent on it. (pigsnake) has seen the car and will tell you how much money and effort has been spent on this car.
Parts to finish are- new turbo/recon, new intercooler (holed) new rear seat belts, parcel shelf, door cards have been stripped and cleaned ready for flocking, requires new seat bolsters, carb rebuild, front fog lights (old ones supplied) battery tray.
I have brand new genuine front bumper/ trims still in wrapping, everything else is on the car.
I will deliver the car anywhere in the UK for 25p per mile.

:agree: life can kick you up the arse sometimes, I really hope things work out for you and that you don't have to sell this work of art.

The attention to detail on your car was amazing.It's one of those cars where u can see where the money has been spent.

Surely you jest. I realise that as a project it's not going to fetch as much as finished but that is mintier than mine and I think you are undervaluing her.

I`ve had a few offers, but I need 3k for this car, I`ve added a few pictures from this morning as I was wiping the tears from my eyes!!
The car is on the trailer either to be mothballed or delivered anywhere in the Uk for the lucky person.

Will be asking for plenty of advise and searching for the parts to finish it off.
This is gonna be a keeper for me and NO it wont be sold after it's completed to make a profit. Been looking for a prodject for the winter and now I've got one:).
Always wanted a white 5 gt turbo and now my dreams come true.
Look forward to being a proper member of the club and not just someone stalking in the background wanting a 5 turbo

If anybody wants to pop down at any time your more than welcome the kettle is always on:coffee:. You can also fit some bits on it while your here as well ;)
Now starts the big hunt for new parts. As soon as I've got a list i'll be posting it up on the forum. The list so far is
1, new turbo
2, new carb
3, new intercooler or very good second hand one
4, exhaust system
5, seat bolsters
6, rear seat belts
7, parcel shelf
8, Battery tray
9, Door cards
10, Plip and receiver
not a bad start already considering I've not seen the car yet

Glad to see you are keeping the project going with Oem new or excellent condition 2nd parts as this is exactly what this car and its previous owner deserve!!!
I am sure Mike on here will help you with new or very good condition 2nd hand parts.

Hi Martyn, Good luck with the project. With regards a brand new carb this is possibly the nearest you will get unless someone has one tucked away they want to sell. Have a read of the description and it tells you what needs to be changed. It's definitely worth having a chat with Mike first though as you never know what he may have...

Those have been looked into changing them to work with the gt turbo engine, this was worked out to be too much. I may be having to sell some parts soon which does include a brand new intercooler and brand new carb due to needing to get as much money together as possible, these are not going to be cheap though.

Mike is GT turbo spares. Plus you have club shop which gradually putting more items in there :)

I noticed that today looking through the pictures the rev counter is so faded so they will be added to the list
