Windscreen seals

Need to get a new windscreen and seals, do I need the inner seal part with the metal in it or can it be fitted without it? is thee a cheaper option?

Can you not reuse your old ones mate. Once cleaned up they can be reused.

Windscreen can be refitted with out the inner seal but looks untidy as you can see the inner edge of the metal.

old one was trashed and all the metal was rusted, could I just use a cheaper rubber strip trim on the metal then just seal the window in with the same black window sealant?

Yes i dont see why not.

Could you not get a 2nd hand one from Mike.

I assumed that as mine was completely full of sealant and rusted out that all other 2nd hand ones would be as well, I'll ask Mike what he has.
