View Full Version : Actuator needed for T25?

Hi all..

I've got a T25 with a .48 rear housing I think. I do not know anything about turbos but I have a large Collins style actuator fitted. I want to get a dual port actuator so that I can run the original 2 pipes from the carb lobster.

I've found a couple on ebay. Could do with some help, as some don't seem to be able to handle the boost pressure. Here is a link to 2 items I've found. Really need to know if these will work. The cheaper of the 2 claims to handle more psi, however i'm not sure what length arm is required for this....

I've got a twin port for a T2 here but I don't think that will fit/work. I'd also like to leave it on the T2.

Let me know what you have. I'm still interested to know if the ones i've found are suitable.

This is only a single port? No?

It's avaliable as a twin port too direct from TT.

So Turbo technics is an option. However the ones I located look more original.

So have tried contacting Turbo Technics with no luck... l would like to know if one of the 2 items in the link would be suitable. Looking at them they both look good but as mentioned I don't know much about turbos or what requirements I need for a T25.

Already got one of those and it's massive. I'm looking for a twin port equivalent.

Cheers anyway

if you look at the second link that one is a similiar size to the turbo technics single port mate, u dont really need a double port unless your keeping the oe pipework

I want to go with the OE pipework which Is why I am having a problem.

Have found what I think will work.. http://www.treadstoneperformance.com/product.phtml?p=47&prodname=Wastegate+Actuator%2C+Turbonetics

What sort of boost are you running ?

I have a twin port turbo technics actuator which boosts to about 15psi if youre interested ?:)

Hi Deano,

Yes mate, I'm interested. Not sure what boost but I believe around 15PSI. I stupidly removed all the gauges when the car arrived and did not check.

I would just use a good condition standard actuator, no need for bigger stromnger actuators if you only running minimal/modersate boost and want to keep the oe look

I've got a turbo technics twinport. I'd do a deal on your Collins actuator if you'd like?
