no fuel

im not getting fuel to carb sometimes it will fire after a long time trying what things to check ?

I take it you have fuel? :laugh:
You made sure fuel filter not blocked?

Try removing the fuel pump relay and bridging the red and white wire so fuel pump has constant feed and report back if you have fuel or not?

ive just bridged the fuel relay wires and pump buzzes and fuel squirts out so is it a duff relay ? if so does anyone have a working one ?

I'd look on facebook/boards and find someone who's breaking a 5GT and message them. Usually the cheapest way.

There's 1 on ebay (new).

I hear Mike @ GTTurbo spares usually has everything in stock.

ive just read that if the tdc is faulty that can cause no petrol to the carb is this right cos ive canged the tdc the other day

If the tdc is faulty then the aei won't send power down to the sparks. i don't think it does anything to the fuel system.
You can buy something like this which you put between the ht lead and the spark plug to see if it's being told to spark.
I've got a much more compact version of one of these that just emits a red light when there's power going to the spark.
Am sure there's PMT (cheap) ways of testing this like putting an ht lead in your mouth or something :D

ive seen spark so does it point back to the fuel relay for sure ?

As James5 said, sounds like a duff relay. I'd buy another, it's always good to have spares ;)

But if when you turned the car over with the fuel pipe off the carb and fuel squirted out the relay would be working fine. As you said earlier you had a spark and was getting fuel?

no relay was unpluged and i bridged the wires for the fuel to come out

right just been out to have another look at car and theres no spark now ? so is the relay ok and is it pointing to the tdc sensor ?? :confused:

Check you have 12v going into the Aei with the ignition on, could be a faulty Aei relay

ive just fitted an ignition barrel would that cause a prob ? do yo know what coulor wires go to where the 2 plugs from barrel ar 2 yellow and 1 red 1 orange what sides do they go to loom theres a 4 pin plug behind dash
