First post!

First post, hello all.

Been a Ford fan all my car owning life, although did have a R5 in the late 90's ( not for long-head gasket!!)

Carless at the moment, been vaguely looking for a R5, thought I'd register here to see the best available, but disappointed with what's on offer tbh !!

Is there a minty, mint, standard (ish) one out there. £4-£5k budget.

I'm no spring chicken at 46, so aren't looking for any projects, niggles, this don't work/that don't work. Just a tidy car, with everything where it should be and nice history.

Looking for a "gallery" of cars on here, us their one ??

Cheers :coffee:

Am sure there was a pearl one for 4.5 in one of the posts, can't find it. Must have gone.

Saw one on pistonheads for 6k, low mileage - but too much cash.

Had chance of a PH1 last year, one owner, very original @£4.5k but the timing wasn't right ;)

Hi Tony, welcome to the club fella! You've definitely come to the right place!! Without this club I certainly would be up the proverbial without a paddle!! :D good luck with the search. I don't know if it's what you're looking for but I believe this is still up for sale and would definitely have it were I in the market for another! http://www.rtoc.org/boards/showthread.php?t=35309

This is currently on ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1989-Renault-5-GT-Turbo-looking-for-another-modern-day-classic-please-read-/121212301475?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c38d0f0a3
It wouldn't surprise me if it gets relisted due to timewasters.
