ignition barrel removel

hi all im trying to remove ignition looked at a few threds on here took plastic under steering wheel off removed the 4 bolts holding steering column but it wont drop due to the under dash ? how do i remove so the column will fully drop

2x13mm bolts and 2x13mm nuts parcel down the column mate, if you have the lower cover off you will see them inside just.

It sounds like you have removed the 4 bolts anyhow. The column should now slightly drop and be able to be pulled out unless there is something trapping it? There is some heating ducting down there that could prevent it moving.

yes ive have removed the 4 bolts and column has droped abit...how you mean be pulled out ? the dash is still under the column and that seems to be stoping it from going any lower but not sure what you mean by pulling it out ? should the dash under be took off ?

The column is in 2 halves, the top half can be pulled up and out, once everything is undone.
