Hello people, been thinking for a little while on this and im deciding to sell my 5 as i dont have time for it with work and family commitments, just sitting on the front of my drive doing nothing, i dont want to sell but it has to go to someone who will carry on looking after it hopefully. Here is a list of things i have done since i bought it from gtnutter (who was/is a member on here) back in 2011.

Complete engine rebuild by Jon Metz at Torsion Tuning consisting of:
*New piston and liner set (federal mogal type/standard compression)
*all gaskets, seals and bearings replaced with new
*cylinder head had a light skim and oil gallery drilled and sleeved
*oil pump refurb kit
*full sfs silicon hose set in blue
*crank had a polish and new shells put in (standard size)
*valeo clutch kit
*ctm flywheel and ep cam
*GT tuning strut brace
*GT tuning double capacity intercooler
*rebuilt garrett t25 turbo with -34 actuator (was done by cr turbo engineering) which I specified I wanted the actuator pre-loaded from 18-22 psi of boost (currently running 16/17 psi at the moment)
*2.5 inch downpipe with enlarged elbow/K-TEC racing side exit exhaust
*Power wise I/Jon believe its in the region of between 160-180bhp possibly more but I haven't had it rolling road tested

Suspension:
*avo coilovers front gaz adjustable rear shocks torsion bar adjusted to suit.
*new track rod ends
*new wishbones
*uprated anti-roll bar bushes
*semi-seam welded sub-frame

Brakes:
*New Brembo max front discs
*New standard rear discs with pads and wheel bearings
*BF Goodridge braided brake lines front and rear

Interior:
*Is standard apart from in car adjustable boost which is only in there to run a sufficient boost which was required from the new turbo and actuator set up

Electrical:
*I replaced all interior looms ie doors/rear quarters/boot lid looms as the old ones were shot
*replaced both window motors/regulators as they gave up the ghost
*central locking works with fob

Bodywork:
*Full respray done by myself in February 2012 which included engine bay, boot floor, brand new bonnet and wings from Renault. Doors have been de-locked. Tailgate has had wiper hole and washer jet removed and smoothed. Rear bumper recess has been smoothed in (because it runs a side exit). The colour is 449 blue but has been tinted to give a pearlescent effect which flips a lovely purple in certain lights (it really does stand out :)). Brand new front window screen with blue top tint and rear window has the raider emblem in it still. Brand new front and rear bumper strips and replica raider door pillar badges.

Bad Points:
*Drivers side jacking point/inner seal has a hole about the size of a 2 pound coin which will want doing before next MOT
*Clocks have been changed. Clocks that were in it when I had it read 9500 miles (but topcat gave me another set of clocks which read 101556 which is nearer the true mileage from what I can make out in the history of it)
*Drivers seats bolster has a tear around 4 inches long (just general wear and tear)
*Heater fan doesn't work (wiring issue behind dash possibly?)
*It does run rich fuel wise and when out driving you do get a whiff of fuel but this is from the carb (Jon tried to lean it off but it would not go any more so ideally the carb will want an overhaul but its sound running wise)
*There's just oddball stupid little things that might want attention depending on whether the potential buyer sees it worth doing or not that's just my opinion.

It has Mot until July 2014 and it is taxed until end of March 2014. You can see my build thread with what I have done which contains photos. I have two folders of history, 8 previous owners and all the receipts to prove the engine rebuild, turbo etc. Drives nice but solid ride hence suspension etc but it is a real head turner and has always received good comments from Joe public and at shows etc. Price £3800. If people are seriously interested please PM me and I will get back to you as soon as.

Thank you

Tom

Poor advert and really could do with at lest one photo..... :cooter:

Jokes aside, good to see some actually do a proper detail add with good pictures. :agree:

Great price, this shouldn't hang around for long.

Thanks goobie .Ps also comes with car cover. Fully breathable which I got as I dont have a garage to put it in. Also 2 boxes of various parts included. :) its a good little car. Drives nice. Goes well for the spec it has. And I know its not 100% but wont take much to see it perfect. Shame im letting it go but I just cant enjoy it for what it is anymore with work/family. Just no time.:crap:

Super.

Absolutely perfect exterior styling for a Raider from my perspective. :agree: Raise the front 5mm on those coilovers and I'd be happy.

Why do I always seen people having to ask their girlfriend/wife if they are allowed to buy a car with there own money? I'm sure if the said partner wants a new bag or shoes to go with the other 100 pairs they would just buy it and not worry if they are allowed.

Would love this, must resist the urge to see if Tom would do a deal with the Petrol Blue 182 :ashamed:

If that's a dig in my direction I'll try let you in on the situation. It's because I respect her and it would be an irresponsible act to my family to buy another car that I don't really need when the money could be put to other uses like a much needed holiday, wedding next year etc. Plus my missus has never spent £3k on handbags or shoes. Your missus must have extremely expensive taste

Besides which if you knew about any of the other cars I own/have owned you'd understand permission is fairly irrelevant! She is extremely tolerant indeed :D

Anyway good luck to Tom, I'm genuinely disappointed I missed it because I tried for several months to persuade Tom to let me buy it before giving up and getting a Clio Trophy and then another Raider a couple of months ago :crap:

Try advertising elsewhere, I'm sure it's worth a sight more than £3200!!

Is the interior still in healthy clean shape Tom?

I've always said to marky mark that I'd have this back in a flash.... This is and a few other members cars would sit me back in a 5

Your letting it go too cheap for the work you've done to it. I'd buy it back in minutes! Just wrong time. If you still have it in new year then I'm on it!
