Guys, my 5 came with a big brake kit on the front.

Am I right in thinking I could drop down to a standard size disc and remove the caliper spacers?

This would allow me to lose the 15's and run some OE wheels.

I'm finding it really hard sourcing decent 195/45 R5 tyres. Such a limited choice.
Plenty in 195/50 though.

If I drop to 13's I could run 185/55 Toyo R888's I think

Sweet, Thanks Penfold.

Now the toss up is keep looking for decent 195/45's or start looking for some decent OE 13's for my Raider :scared:

185/60 is the correct size for track type tyres on standard rims.

Think your big brake kit is a 288mm GTTuning jobbie ;)

Loads of 195 45 15. Toyo t1r, eagle f1 are the ones I'd go for.

Blackcircles have Yokohama's for about £70/corner.

Not overly keen on the 45 profiles I've seem to be honest.

I want something a bit more 'sporty'

Yeah can get T1r's without much fuss.

Shame I can't get a 888 in 45 profile odd something similar :crap:

You can get r888's in 215 wide at 50 profile. Doable.

Would that not be similar to 195/50 for rolling radius?

Yep, identical.
What's wrong with that? (Apart from odometer/speedometer)

Without butchering your arches 215/50/15 is probably a no go. The sidewalls are wide on r888.

13's ftw, 185/6013 r888 are cheaper

I was planning to have fitted Eagle F1's - have used them on every car ive had in the past and love them
