bumper repair

Any tips for repairing this split in the bumper?

I've just done mine and it was much worse,
Step,1 take bumper off and using a grinder rough up the inside
2 get fiber glass matting and resin and starting on just the split put thin strips across the split then use bigger bits gradually going over a larger area with each layer of matting
3 when that's all gone off grind up the outside of the bumper then using tinned type fibreglass apply to the outside make sure when you grind out the crack that you make the crack a "v" shape so the fibreglass sits in it better
4 sand the outside back then apply filler and repair prime etc...

I've repaired lots of race car parts, bumpers all sorts like this at work and it always lasts well if done well
