Hi there, doing my head in:
Symptoms are as follows,
Cutting out,
Idling at 500rpm,
15 on afr at idle,
When it goes, off throttle the afr leans off to 20!
Lumpy.
Basically being very very naughty, any suggestions?
I would really appreciate your input - before I spaff money on a new carb from GT spares.
Oh, turbo is a GT28, ktec tubular manifold which cracked and was repaired, big jim down pipe and AFR gauge which has been calibrated properly.
Thanks.
Have you adjusted the idle screw and mixture screw?

Not touched, not even sure I have one? Before the crack in the manifold it ran like a dream! I obviously took carb off to do work on manifold.

Which breather pipe?
I've not done anything with the jets, I was planning on getting car set up by Bogg brothers, east Lutton. But they are not interested anymore!
I'm wondering if the carb is buggered. It's so annoying, it needs constant attention. Worse than the wife!
They're annoying! Have you cleaned it out?

Thanks guys, I have not touched the carb. Perhaps my next job....
Did you replace carb base gaskets and inlet/exhaust manifold gasket? Possibly an air leak.

Carb base gasket no, but yes to inlet/outlet gasket.
It's a very naughty car.
Grrrrr
Change the carb base gasket if you have took the carb off..also check one way valves and pipes on inlet
