Random wire?

Whilst fixing my speedo and removing the dial casing ive came across a grey wire. Its has a push plug style connector at the end and comes off the loom but haven't a clue where its for. It doesn't seem to affect any of the dials or electrics. Just wanted to know what it is for... Any ideas? Cheers

It is just that! There is a random wire behind the clocks that doesn't connect to anything!

Perfect Kris cheers for that. Thought i might have yanked it when taking off the Dials. Panic over :)
