After only 6 months of ownership I have no choice other than to put my Raider Gt Turbo up for sale.
A change of jobs means no overtime so have to make some cuts and running 3 cars is one of them!

Anyway so am selling my 1990 H-plate Renault 5 GT Turbo Raider special Edition. The car is in excellent condition - just used at the 2013 French Car Show by Samco Hoses as a demo car and also had a feature on their Facebook page a month or so back

Prior to me purchasing the car it was owned by a chap that owned his own body shop - he restored the cars bodywork over a few years in his free time - replacing front wings, rear wings, sills, floor pan section, bumpers etc - the engine was removed and the bay completely painted. Window seals were replaced, glass renewed, door locks removed and bumper bump strips removed. The paintwork was finished to a very high standard - the chap advised me he spent a lot of time flatting and re flatting the paintwork to get it looking perfect. He won a couple of concourse competitions with it, used to trailer it to shows!

The engine was rebuilt by a caterham specialist - who replaced numerous parts including:
pistons and liners
Oil pump overhaul
Crank thrust washer
New timing chain
Timing chain tensioner
uprated valve stem oil seals
Uprated valve spring set
KTR Uprated head gasket
KTR high Tensile head bolt set
Genuine crank spacer
Water pump
Starter motor
KTR Bottom end gasket set
KTR Sump seal kit
KTR180 Hybrid Turbo
KTR high pressure fuel pump
KTR metal fuel filter
Stainless 2 1/2" downpipe
Pro-Alloy Header Tank
Scorpion full exhaust system
KTR alloy carb lobster top
Mocal oil cooler
Braided turbo oil feed hose
Refurbished inlet manifold
Adjustable cam sprocket
Forge dump valve
RMD double capacity alloy intercooler
KTR alloy Turbo heat shield
New engine wiring loom
Perc fan sensor
Chrome engine lifting eye
Chrome cylinder head plate
Chrome alternator fixing bracket
Chrome cam chain cover
Chrome lower pulley
Chrome Alternator arm
KTR high power blue plug leads
KTR short shift kit - Black billet gear knob
New engine mounts throughout

A friend of the owners then retrimmed the interior - all of the door cards are in full leather, the seats are half leather/half black fabric, all I've added inside are a new full set of seat belts and buckles from a low mileage campus as my originals were looking very rough, fitted some GT tuning Billet heater control knobs and a set of rear seat hinge covers. The front seats were very wobbly so replaced some bolts with correct versions and now fixed solidly.

Also fitted when restoring where a full set of Avo Sports Evolution GT Tuning spec coil overs, 285mm GT Tuning drilled front discs as well as matching GT Tuning drilled rear discs along with GT Tuning Kevlar brake pads all round. Also has braided hoses throughout.
The car is also fully poly bushed - wishbones, strut mounts, etc, has new track rods,

When I bought the car it was running really badly - constantly cutting out and wasn't very nice to drive - fortunately one of my best mates is the Renault Technical Expert in Cardiff Renault and also loves these cars so was happy to rebuild the engine with me and sort out any other little problems

We replaced:
Exhaust manifold - now stainless version
GT Turbo spares re-engineered carburettor
Rocker cover gasket/washers/nuts
Genuine oil filter
Fresh Mobil super 2000 10w 40 oil
Uprated inlet/exhaust Manifold gasket
Stainless steel Turbo gaskets
New studs and nuts
Carb base gaskets
Throttle cable
Genuine Clutch cable
Lots of missing brackets - turbo support, downpipe support etc
New coolant
New driveshaft fitted
All polished or chromed parts re-finished
All new breather hoses
Oil pressure sensor
Throttle cable spring,

And added:
Air filter - now ITG Maxogen open filter
Pro-Speed exhausts stainless Back box with 3" outward rolled tailpipe
All brackets/mounts either chromed or powder coated gloss black
Full new set of Blue Samco hoses - coolant, aux and turbo
New genuine thermostat
Full set JCS high grip marine grade stainless hose clips
Silver hose clamp finishers for header tank hoses
Mikalor heavy duty hose clamps for boost hoses
TPI polorised Racing wheel bolts x 16
New door check strap pins
Chrome rocker cover
Polished water swirl pot
Polished oil breather pot
GT Tuning top water hose polished pipe
Replaced head light caps
Replaced top shock mount covers
Replaced Bonnet stay and clips (new)
Genuine Battery cover
Polished horn pump
Polished oil cap
Carried out Cup-mod to turbo/carb
New valves in breather hoses
New Header Tank Strap
Black distributor cap and new rotor arm

So the car now runs really smoothly, feels really strong though not set up fuelling as yet so running standard boost - has done no more than 400 miles since we rebuilt it

Exterior wise I have replaced both the front fog lights with some new yellow original types and also fitted new orange side repeaters.
I have fitted new genuine washer jets as the previous owner had some nasty chrome versions fitted, the rear wiper has been removed though as wiring etc still present so could be refitted it wanted
It has a set of gloss black 15 inch oz ultraleggera replica alloys in near perfect condition with matching nearly new tyres all round. Have had the centre caps painted gloss black and fitted O.Z racing logo wheel centres.
When I bought the car it had an open grill fitted - I've since replaced this with a brand new campus grill (turbo grills are like rocking horse pooh) had it professionally painted and fitted a genuine carbon fibre Renault diamond badge

The car does still need some work to be A1 but its very close - I've sorted the engine, mechanicals and body work but the interior could do with a tidy up - the central locking motors are stiff and need adjusting and lubing as do the electric window motors, I had plans to flock the dash and replace the seats but there's nothing wrong with what's there already. Also I've fitted a new speedo cable as the speedo wasn't not working when I purchased the car but still has a problem as runs slowly

Has a Phillips Cd head unit, alpine front speakers and ken wood 6x9's in the rear.

Just put 12 months MOT on it and its taxed until the end of September

Comes with a file full of receipts for most of above parts - adding up to well over £12000, as well as lots of old mot slips and garage invoices.

Car is in Cardiff, South Wales and ready to be driven away - will take £3750 Ono

Tel - 07540 543015 or pm any questions etc

99% positive this sold. The new owner has a thread showing the jobs he's been doing on it IIRC.

Good luck and be prepared to move quickly as good ones don't hang around.

I started looking at the beginning of the year and purchased just recently.
