What's the smallest wheels that you'd be able to get on a 182?
I can't find anyone running wheels smaller than 15"
Wondering if they'd take a set of 13" steels.

Discs are 280mm up front, so 15" will be the smallest you can go, doubt 14" will fit even with 4 pots which will fit better in the wheel.

swap the brakes over from a base model :scared:

I doubt even the base models from that era had less than 14" minimum as OE though, whether they would have taken a 13" after market wheel I dunno.

What are these? 14's maybe?

You misunderstood. It wasn't a genuine suggestion that I thought you hadn't considered, I was joking. The scared face smiley is a reference to being worried about the outcome of actually going ahead with the idea of fitting lesser brakes to a higher performance model.

Gotcha.. :cooter:

Small brakes big engine is a great combo, no? I mean that's weight reduction stage 1 :cartman:

Ai. I'm sure there are plenty of examples of this sort of thing out there given what we've seen over the years :D

Actually I guess it's not so unusual to find this in certain motor sports, like the drag strip etc.

I fitted the 8mm thick non vented front disks onto my hillclimber, and the rears I made were tiny (I almost fitted bicycle brakes..).
