Hey guys

Does anyone know the best place to get this oil from? I have seen 4ltrs of it for sale on eBay at a cost of £30. I know it has been discontinued but do any of you know where to get it? Possibly cheaper than eBay?

Also where would you guys suggest getting an oil filter from?

Thanks a lot,
Rob

Opie oils?

If not, Silkolene/Fuchs 15w50 (or might be 10w/50?) is equally as good, if not better.

GSF for the filter.

Opie have discontinued the 15-50 but they are a good place to buy and I'll see if I can find an extra discount code for you.

That would be great, thank you. Is a fully synthetic 10w40 a good alternative?

Decent brand 10/40 semi will be fine.

On a highly tuned c1j 10/60 fully synth seems to work well

I can't find any current code for you but you get extra off for being a member and if you like them on FB they have daily deals.

Would this type of oil be advisable? It's a third of the price of the 15w50 made by the same people... However if this is the best oil for the 5(I'm not entirely sure of its tuned condition, probably around 170bhp) then I will get it.

I dare say that will be fine. Make sure you buy a genuine ren oil filter or a fram ph4546.

I have ordered a few from GSF as Mart suggested so I assume they will be ok.

If you have a Costco card, 4 liters of Castrol 10-40 is around £15. I've been using it for years :agree:

Unfortunately I do not have one. I will have to look into getting one in the future.
