Hi guys, I was just checking my turbo which I though it was a std one, but have just noticed its not, can anyone tell me what it is as I want to send away for a overhaul. That leads to another question where would you guys recommend to send it to.

CR Turbo's - they do top quality work - just got mine back from them - quality.

Cheers Andy, do you know what the turbo is I have got, it says .48 on the air housing and the exhaust side looks std. I kinda feel stupid here as I know not a thing about turbos.

HI Charlie - I'm not too good on turbo specs fella, the only real way to work it out is to see what frame size you have and measure your wheels up and compare against a standard unit. I think I will do this as part of my 'turbo specs' subject. See if you can get your hands on a standard T2 and go from there.

Stotty.

Cheers, all input welcome as I want to learn as much about them as possible. I read about guys getting 360 bearings fitted, what does 360 bearings do over std bearings? is it worth getting done? and things like that.

CR turbo has been recommended for a rebuild is this everyone's thought?

I have a std T2 that's how I found out the one on the car was different.

I've heard good things from Turbo dynamics, but Ican only really comment on the service from cr.
