Are your handbrake cables all fitted to the calipers etc?
Sorry if it seems like an on obvious question, but cant remember if you're mid resto or back on the road now

Hi when you pull the handbrake the switch goes to ground could try unpluging it and putting the conector to ground and see if he light comes on then you know if the handbrake switch is at fault or the problem lies else where .did you repaint inside because it might not have a good ground to the body. Have you messed with the wiring or changed anything.

inside, but earth it anywhere and it should work if the wiring/bulb is ok
