Booked in with chris today to have the 5 checked to see what power it was making was pleased with it. didnt quite make full power as the carb bowl was emptying but it made 176 bhp at 7250 revs but chris said i still want to go more just started to lean off .will be efiing it in the next two weeks and then going back to be mapped and then tested again to see what it can do. it will hopefully be there at the rolling road day at the end of sept.

Good power with more to come. Sounds like your engine is breathing really well. Just wondering what my b18ft will rev to. I have never taken it over 5k revs yet until ive been to scoffs and know its fuelling right.

Hi i was surprised at the rev range and the power. its got a 285 cam t25 16psi boost gasket matched inlet manifold and tubular manifold 2 1/2 turbo back exhaust

Reasonable power for 16lb boost, your 285 cam must be timed up well to suit the turbo. And of course the rest of the lump is doing it's job.

It will more than likely make similar power with efi, except the efi will make it much more reliable once you hit 20psi+ also being able to play with the ignition map will improve the drivability and responsiveness no end.

Scoffs service is always top notch:agree:

Chris was great good info and helped me sort out what i need with th efi convertion cant wait to get it done and back in at the start of sept for a days mapping i will be uping the boost as its easier to sort the fueling when its efi ed want to run about 25 psi ish
