Does anyone have a picture of what they're cup modbreather set up looks like, Alastair recommended that I change my set up to that of the cup mod, but am struggling to see how it differs to mine. Am I right in think i just need some 4mm,6mm,8mm hoses and a new restrictor? Can anyone clarify if its 1.6mm restrictor?

Thanks Mart.

Where is the file saved on RTOC? I've got the coupe manual but think from memory the pipe Internal diameter is 16mm for section D but can't remember a d can't be going into the loft or ill wake the kids up! Also thought there always the OE 1.6 mm restrictor but appears not from the diagram!

Good to see the boris car still going and back in Plymouth!

Ah well I could be mistaken then, might not be any need for a restrictor

Yeah still pulling strong, went for a cheeky drive last night, grinning from ear to ear

You can use the original breather pipework mate...

Rocker cover outlet to a T-piece.
Base arm of T-piece connected to sump return/breather pipe.
Remaining T-piece arm to catch tank or vent' to atmosphere.

None of the restrictors are retained.
Remove inlet manifold breather nrv & fit a bolt in its place.
Blank off breather inlet on air filter 'telephone' hose.

Thanks for your help Mart, I have an after market 'ram air' induction kit so I imagine the 'telephone' hose as already been done away with.

Where abouts is the non-return valve on the inlet manifold?

Any difference with the sump return just blocked off.

Look at the back of the manifold, underneath the carb as such, and you'll see the 2 nrv's - 1 is for the brake servo (leave as is), the other is for the breather cct, which can be removed/replaced with a bolt.

Upto you mate, but I'd personally never run a sealed sump as such on any motor.

On ph2 setups, the return pipe within the sump sits underneath the oil level - I've always removed/cut off said pipe; et voila, pmt crankcase ventilation.

On ph1's, drill a hole, weld/screw & seal a nozzle outlet in the same location as the ph2, and run a pipe from that to aforementioned T-piece.
