Right these turbo's on eBay for around 200 new. Not Garrett obviously.
Yes everyone is gonna say they are paper weights last 10 mins etc.

Most are more than likely made in China but being sold from the UK and Germany.

But let's say I take the plunge and it does die after 100 miles could I then get it rebuilt with Garrett parts???

Also they come with a year warranty - probably a nightmare to get anywhere with them though.

People do use these turbo's and get good results, longevity is always the issue, I have heard you may get a few k at high boost. Getting them rebuilt with Garrett internals I don't know. I'm sure I have read about it somewhere on here.

Been thinking Garrett can't be the only option.
Like cars you could buy an expensive merc and it will last but a cheap Renault does fine.

Would you get it rebuilt straight away or use as it comes till it goes?

I know a member that has done bought cheap and rebuilt and has made incredible power. Longevity has not been tested.

Have a look on youtube - the issues are always the same - they **** em selves very quickly.

I've got a t2/t25 hybrid job on mine what would I need to make it a full t25?

Ebay ;)

Sell it, and buy a t25. Easier, and probably cheaper.

I had a larger trim turbine wheel machined into my t2/t25 (foc) and it made a massive difference. Its like a different blower altogether.
